Subclass 494 Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) visa – A temporary “regional” visa with a pathway to permanent residence.

- your occupation is on the relevant “list” of occupations which can be used for this visa; and
- you have an Australian employer who is based in “Regional” Australia; and
- the employer is willing to nominate you for this visa,
then you may be eligible to apply for this visa.

The subclass 494 Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) visa provides a pathway to permanent residence via the subclass 191 Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) visa when the visa applicant and any included family members have lived, worked and (where relevant) studied, in a Designated regional area of Australia for three years while holding the subclass 494 Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) visa.
